Prokofiev’s Second Piano Concerto is a very special piece to me. A few years ago, I attended its performance with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and I remember being emotionally struck as I never had before. If we can somehow motivate people to become more developed, well rounded, and attractive to the markets, then this will help our economy greatly. It is for this reason that I agree that we need to help motivate people to become more developed and competitive workers.
I also agree that curiosity can be a huge motivator in making a person develop themselves. People who are curios tend to learn more easily and try new things, making them generally more rounded, interesting, and competitive in the workplace.
The internet is an extremely easy way to satisfy ones curiosity about most subjects, and it is an amazing tool almost anyone can use. It also presents many problems though, as there is more information on the internet then you could ever possibly want, and this can lead to distractions and or information overload. There is also the possibility that the information could be false, if it comes from non reputable sources, so we need to be careful.
